Beijing’s brush-stroke of luxury

Beijing’s brush-stroke of luxury

Seasons Place, Beijing

Having opened in 2008, Beijing’s 60,000m 2 brand mall became known for its international flagships, including Louis Vuitton, Dior and Lane Crawford. Seasons Place is at the heart of Beijing’s Financial Street District and was conceived as a high-end lifestyle destination mall.

The design celebrates traditional Chinese landscape paintings in a modern and abstract way. Interior environments represent sinuous brush-strokes, expressed in textured limestone surfaces, accented with trees, landscape terraces and cascades. Graphic leaf icons are etched on stone and glass including Chinese maple, bamboo, gingko and oak. Night illumination is dramatic, using LED color change lighting projected over the vast skylight as a palette for changing ambiance.
