THE ALL NEW “TOPS CLUB”

The Central Food Group opened its flagship new chain membership retail store named Tops Club in September 2022. Tops Club is a brand retail destination offering a broad selection of import products, many of which are new to the local market. In the first 2 years the Club targets 2000-4000 members per day on weekdays and 5000 plus members per day on weekends and holidays. It carries more than 3500 products in five categories: dry grocery and beverage, fresh food, alcohol, general merchandise, and household. 70% of the brands are imported from the USA, Canada, Japan, South Korea, Australia and New Zealand.

Concept i were commissioned for comprehensive Retail Consultancy, Architecture, Interior Design, Due Diligence and Site Inspection services. The client required a gross floor area of 15,000 sq.m. located on a site adjacent to one of the Groups major malls, Central Rama 2 Bangkok. This inspired a strong master plan, oriented around a beautiful lake, with special feature connecting tunnels between the spaces.

The brief highlighted the need to look international, expressing the unique emphasis on import brands, and also to pack the project full of interactive, fun experiences for shoppers. Tops Club includes many fun “hands on” displays, entertaining demonstrations, digital and media experiences.
