ICSC Global Award Winner, 2018 Best Mall Makeover (Europe, Medium)

Capitol Mall, Istanbul

This is the second ICSC Award-winning renovation we carried out for Capitol Mall since its grand opening in 1993. This time, the top-to-bottom makeover moved food courts, cinema and leisure uses to the newly-licensed upper floors, and completely revamped all floors below.

The entertainment anchors were redesigned, including The Loft food terraces, Captune’s World (Save The Planet) and Spectrum Cinema. We chose an industrial chic design style to help unify the mall. Materials gradually transition upwards through the levels, from the luxurious lighter tones below to warmer, relaxed tones above. Magnificent views, fresh air and daylight bathe the upper levels with al fresco terraces, lofts and bridges that provide unique social spaces.
