Lifestyle Retail Center, Fuzhou

Fuzhou is one of China’s cultural gems, brimming with urban pride. From its old port and White Pagoda to its canal side markets, our designers were inspired to re-capture the city’s human scale and charm in this new mixed-use development.

Working closely with the client team, a 25,000m 2 retail zone was formatted into small streets, lanes, courts and plazas. Visitors would embark on journeys through portside warehouses, ramparts and wharves cluttered with world-class products and local tastes. Merchandise, food stalls, exhibitions, art and visual displays morph into rich theatrical collages throughout the project.
